Drawing from St. Augustine's City of God, Steve highlights the tension between selfish ambition and selfless love, illustrating how the former has led to a population on the brink of collapse. He calls on men to prioritize faith and family, rejecting the selfishness of the City of Man and embracing the love of the City of God. Register for Advent by Candlelight

Advent by Candlelight is an opportunity to slow down, take an evening to reflect and pray on the true meaning of Advent. As we wait for the birth of Jesus, the busyness of the Christmas season, it's important not to get lost in the hustle and bustle the season can demand. We will start with a reflection from our guest speaker, Anja Ozols, our Evening Sunday Mass Music Director, on Friday, December 5th, at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner and music in the Fellowship Hall. The event will have a heartfelt donation of $25 to cover the food. The space is limited. This year is open to all adults 21 and over.

Texas Education Freedom Accounts

Texas has created Texas Education Freedom Accounts (TEFA), a new program that will provide eligible families with state-funded education savings accounts to help pay for private school costs (including tuition at St. Theresa Catholic School), beginning in the 2026–2027 school year. Funds estimated at about $10,800 per student, with higher amounts for students with disabilities can be used for tuition, meals, uniforms, tutoring, instructional materials, and certain therapies. The state plans to open the application window in February–March 2026, with applications submitted through a state TEFA portal managed by Odyssey. We will share more details and offer support as the application period approaches. See link below for more information.

Find Your Voice in the St. Theresa Choir

Experience the joy of singing in community. Whether you read music or not, your voice has a place with us. Our choir is entirely volunteers. Rehearsals are held Wednesday evenings, and the choir sings for the 10:00 a.m. Sunday Mass each week (September through May). Jubilee at the Beach

All young adults are invited to join us for a Jubilee pilgrimage as we wrap up the Jubilee Year of Hope! We’ll meet on Sunday, November 23rd, at St. Mary Cathedral Basilica in Galveston (an official Jubilee pilgrimage site) for the 12:30 p.m. Mass.
