That Man Is You: A Civilization of Love

Presenter: Steve Bollman will go over St. Augustine's distinction between the City of God, driven by selfless charity, and the City of Man, marked by selfish ambition, as seen in Rome's collapse due to prioritizing personal gain. Men are called to purify their hearts of selfish desires, starting within their families, to live out Christ's love and build a civilization of love that reflects the Kingdom of God. Advent by Candlelight is an opportunity to slow down, take an evening to reflect and pray on the true meaning of Advent. As we wait for the birth of Jesus, the busyness of the Christmas season, it's important not to get lost in the hustle and bustle the season can demand. We will start with a reflection from our guest speaker, Anja Ozols, our Evening Sunday Mass Music Director, on Friday, December 5th, at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner and music in the Fellowship Hall. The event will have a heartfelt donation of $25 to cover the food. The space is limited. This year is open to all adults 21 and over.

Find Your Voice in the St. Theresa Choir

Experience the joy of singing in community. Whether you read music or not, your voice has a place with us. Our choir is entirely volunteers. Rehearsals are held Wednesday evenings, and the choir sings for the 10:00 a.m. Sunday Mass each week (September through May). Share your gift of song in a welcoming group celebrating faith and fellowship.
