RECENT UPDATES

THE RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION FOR 9 YEARS OLD AND OVER

Please plan accordingly as we are going to celebrate the Rites of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist of the Elect at the Pentecost Vigil on Saturday, May 30, 5:00 p.m. Mass and Sunday, May 31, 10:00 a.m. Mass. The first pews on our sanctuary will be reserved for the catechumens, sponsors, and their families.

Sunday obligation to attend Mass and Holy Days continue to be suspended. We recommend people 65 years and older along with people with medical conditions to stay home.

Live streaming Masses will be on Saturday at 5:00 p.m. (CDT) and Sunday at 10:00 a.m. (CDT), they will be available on-demand thereafter.

ONLINE BAPTISM CLASS FOR PARENTS AND GODPARENTS

St. Theresa Church will conduct the next Baptism class (for both parents and godparents) online. The class is comprised of two sessions:

1) an online video, and

2) a Zoom meeting, scheduled for Sunday, May 31, 2020, at 3:00 p.m.

THE YEARS OF MY SERVICE

I always knew that I wanted to teach. As a product of Catholic Schooling, somehow I knew that God was leading me to this ministry.

On August 1, 1973, I walked into my classroom and began my journey as a Catholic educator.

For the last 47 years, I have followed that dream of dedicating my life to Catholic Education for both children and adults.

It has been a privilege to be a part of Resurrection, St. Rose of Lima, St. Maximilian, and St. Theresa Parishes. Each of these parishes have given me many blessings and friendships that will last a lifetime.

My friends at St. Theresa, I want to thank you for allowing me to be a part of this parish for over the last 18 years. We have had some wonderful times as well as a few bumps in the road I have seen this parish go through a wonderful transformation.

It has not been an easy decision, but after much prayer, I have decided to retire as of June 30th.

I will still be part of this parish and look forward to what’s ahead for St. Theresa. Retirement will be a huge transition because I have always worked, but hopefully, it won’t take long to adjust.

You will always be in my heart and please stay in touch.
